Apple revealed a number of interesting improvements at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC2024) today, with VisionOS 2.0 taking center stage. This big update to the operating system that powers Apple’s AR/VR headset, the Vision headset, promises to significantly improve the user experience thanks to advanced machine learning and intuitive hand controls.
nside this, and many other excellent features of Apple’s VisionOS 2.0, lies new technology regarding advanced machine learning, putting much more control into making way better user experiences. No doubt, the most fantastic thing is the ability it has to make spatial treatment from a photo naturally deep, giving life that has never been seen before to the image.
Beyond that, VisionOS 2.0 allows for an infinitely more intuitive way to access the critical information like time and battery status or quickly click into the control center to make easy, quick, and straightforward adjustments—now just a flip of your hand away.
The higher resolution and size support will be available later this year. This is what it will look like on the Mac: VisionOS 2.0 will manage an equivalent of two 4K monitors positioned side by side to yield visual clarity that, along with augmenting productivity, holds great promise.
