How to Set Up Apple Cash
First things, make sure you have a compatible iPhone with the latest version of iOS. You must also have two-factor authentication turned on for your Apple ID and be signed into iCloud with the same Apple ID on any devices that you want to use to send and receive money.

Steps to take for setting up Apple Cash includes;
- You can set up Apple Cash directly in wallet, or in settings, scroll down and tap ‘Wallet ‘
- Then tap ‘Apple Pay’ to turn it on if its not on already
- Enter your Apple ID password when prompted.
- Then tap ‘Sign in’.
- Tap ‘Continue’ and further authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode to set up Apple Cash.
- If its your first time setting up Apple Cash, you will be asked to review and accept the terms and conditions in order to continue. Tap ‘Agree’ to confirm.
- Once the process is completed, tap ‘Continue’ and tap ‘Add Card’
- Here, you can click on ‘Debit’ or ‘Credit Card’
- Follow the prompts if you want to add an eligible debit card to enable you add funds. That is oif you don’t already have funds in your wallet.

Use Apple Cash to Send Money or request for payments
With Apple Cash you can send money or request for payments from your friends right in messages. Folllow these steps to see how its done.
- In a message conversation (could be a chat) tap the ‘Plus button’ which is at the left of the text field.
- Then tap ‘Apple Cash’
- Tap ‘Show keypad’ and enter an amount.
- Here, you can request, send a one-time payment or even tap to make it a recurring payment to set up a repeated payment to the recipient(including a start date and frequency)
- Tap ‘Request or Send’, when you are ready. Don’t forget to add a comment as to what the payment is for.
- Tap the send button to send the request or payment.
- Authenticate with face ID, Touch ID or a passcode if you are sending funds to confirm your payment.
- You can send money directly from a debit card in Wallet or your Apple Cash balance.
Add Funds to Apple Cash
If you want to make purchases from your Apple Cash, you can add funds in your wallet from your debit card or eligible prepaid cards that you use with Apple Pay.
Follow these steps to add funds to your Apple Cash;
- In your wallet, tap your Apple Cash card.
- Tap on the ‘More’ button in the upper-right corner and click on ‘Add Money’.
- Then, enter an amount (you can only enter an amount of $10 and above)
- The auto-reload option is available to automatically add funds to your Apple Cash card when it has fallen below a minimum balance.
- Tap ‘Add’ and authenticate with face ID, Touch ID, or passcode to add the funds to Apple Cash
