The OnePlus Ace 7 series has been launched in China, bringing two sub-flagship phones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Gen 5V. Both are gaming-focused and feature an 185Hz OLED display and a large 9,000mAh battery. The starting retail price is CNY 4,799, around $720.

After weeks of teasers, OnePlus has launched the Ace 7 series, and the Pro model is competing directly against the recently released iQOO Neo 12. But not to forget the standard model is also offering a good deal.
Specifically, the standard Ace 7 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series, which has a slightly less capable GPU than the non-V version of the chipset. OnePlus claims that it can hold a stable average of 60FPS in MOBA and open-world games, while in AAA games, the phone is said to hold an average of 165FPS.
On the other hand, the Ace 7 Pro has the slightly more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The SoC is matched with T3 touch, G3 network and P4 display chipsets and both phones have the “Wind Chase Game Core.” The duo is expected to provide a host of game improvements to both devices.

One other interesting point is that both the Ace 7 Pro and the standard phone is cooler while the OnePlus claims there is an independent fan temperature sensor for accurate monitoring. Multiple games support 185FPS, it adds, with the company indicating that the feature will be supported on both devices.
Speaking of that, the OnePlus Ace 7 series features a 185Hz OLED display. It is said to be capable of peak brightness of 2,000nits, 100% DCI-P3 coverage and a resolution of 2,772×1,272 pixels. Of note, it is capped at 165Hz when the phone is not playing games.

On the back, the Ace 7 Pro features a 200MP primary camera with OIS, which is paired with a 50MP 3.5x telephoto. The standard device has an 8MP ultrawide as the secondary camera. There’s a 16MP selfie shooter on the front of both phones.
Other features of the Ace 7 series include WiFi 7, 100W SuperVOOC and UFCS (160W Ugreen Nexode Pro charger curr. $59.99 on Amazon) fast charging support, and a 9,000mAh battery. Both the standard phone and the Pro version have up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, with the Pro version upping the storage to 1TB.
Both come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage in the starting configuration. The Ace 7 Pro’s retail price is CNY 4,799, approximately $720, the standard version’s begins at CNY 4,399, approximately $660.
