The Insta360 Mic Pro is one of the strangest wireless microphones ever seen, featuring an e-ink display. The Mic Pro is ready to go now and not only fits Insta360 action cameras, but also smartphones and system cameras.

At first glance, the Insta360 Mic Pro stands out from practically all wireless microphones on the market. This is due to the Insta360’s 1.22-inch, six-color round E-Ink display. The app for the accompanying smartphone allows them to choose which image to show on each microphone, enabling them to be customized with a logo or name, etc.
Three microphones fit into the 19.7 gram body, and the 32-bit float recording ensures that they don’t overmodulate. The microphone can be omnidirectional or super-directional and is equipped for AI noise reduction to eliminate unwanted ambient noise. With 32 GB of onboard memory, up to 60 hours of audio are stored directly on the microphone so that the sound is not lost even if there are problems with the transmission to the camera.

The included receiver enables the microphones to be wirelessly linked to traditional cameras and cell phones. Receiver is not required for use with an Insta360 X5, Ace Pro 2 and Go Ultra. Four microphones can be connected to one receiver with Insta360. Another application is to connect a microphone to a number of receivers, thereby sending the sound to multiple cameras simultaneously. The microphone’s battery provides for 10 hours of playing time, or 30 hours with the charging case.
