The MegaBook 2 is a new Surface Pro competitor. One of the first 2-in-1 tablets with an Intel Panther Lake processor, the MegaBook 2 also leverages a 1,000 nit OLED display and up to 32 GB of RAM within a package that weighs less than 1 kg.

H3C has officially unveiled its latest 2-in-1 device, the MegaBook 2, positioning it as another competitor to the Surface Pro (currently priced at $1,098 on Amazon). Earlier this month, the MegaBook 2 appeared on Geekbench, showcasing Intel’s new Panther Lake processor. Now, H3C has not only confirmed more hardware details but also revealed the device’s design.
The MegaBook 2 is powered by the Core Ultra 5 325 processor, paired with either 16 GB or 32 GB of LPDDR5x RAM. This 8-core processor features 4 high-performance Cougar Cove P-cores running at 4.5 GHz and 4 energy-efficient Darkmont LP E-cores capped at 3.4 GHz. Additionally, it includes a 4-core Xe3 integrated GPU (iGPU), which offers slightly less power than the Arc 130V GPU found in the original MegaBook.
While the Core Ultra 5 325 is expected to deliver only modest performance improvements compared to the similar Core Ultra 7 355, it should make the MegaBook 2 more energy-efficient. However, H3C has reduced the battery size by 15%, leaving it with a 50 Wh capacity.
The device retains its 2.8K OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, but now offers 1,000 nits of peak brightness. The 14-inch screen also shifts to a 16:10 aspect ratio, moving away from the 3:2 ratio familiar to Surface Pro users. The MegaBook 2 weighs 925 g, excluding the detachable keyboard accessory.
Sales in China will begin on April 11, but H3C has yet to announce pricing or international availability.
