Samsung has confirmed the Galaxy M47 5G for India. The phone has appeared in an official teaser with a triple rear camera setup. Meanwhile, a Geekbench listing of the phone reveals a Snapdragon chipset with 8GB of RAM.

Galaxy M series is Samsung’s mid-range smartphone series that includes Galaxy M07, Galaxy M17 and Galaxy M17e. The brand has now officially announced the Galaxy M47 5G for India. As a reference, its predecessor Galaxy M36 5G boasted a 6.7-inch screen and Exynos 1380 processor, and was released in June 2025.
The rear camera setup consists of three lenses in a pill-shaped housing and a red color is confirmed by the official Galaxy M47 5G teaser video. Samsung has announced that the Galaxy M47 5G is ‘coming soon’ in India. The details of the specifications and exact launch date are still to be confirmed, however.

The Galaxy M47 is expected to be Samsung’s model number “SM-M476B” which appeared on Geekbench. The listing indicates that the phone would be powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor and 8GB of RAM. Specifically, Samsung had the same chipset for the Galaxy A36 5G (current price of $315 on Amazon). In the single-core and multi-core CPU tests, the claimed M47 attained 1,000 points and 3,036 points, respectively.
