Samsung has introduced its 2026 lineup of Odyssey gaming monitors, featuring both IPS and OLED options. The company also unveiled updates to its ViewFinity and Movingstyle series, offering a range of innovative displays for gamers and professionals alike.
Odyssey Gaming Monitors: Industry-First 6K and More
Samsung’s new Odyssey lineup includes groundbreaking features, such as the industry’s first 6K gaming monitor. The collection features two Odyssey G8 models, updated Odyssey OLED G7 and OLED G8 monitors, refreshed ViewFinity S8 models, and a new Movingstyle Essential monitor.
Odyssey G8 (G80HS) and G7 (G80HF)

- Odyssey G8 (G80HS):
- Display: 32-inch IPS panel with 6K resolution (6,144 x 3,456 pixels) and 224 ppi pixel density.
- Performance: Supports up to 165 Hz refresh rate at 6K resolution. With Dual Mode, users can switch to 3K resolution (3,072 x 1,728) for a faster 330 Hz refresh rate.
- Features: HDR10, HDR10+ Gaming, Nvidia G-Sync compatibility, AMD FreeSync Premium, and 400 nits peak brightness.
- Odyssey G7 (G80HF):
- Display: 27-inch IPS panel with 5K resolution (5,120 x 2,880 pixels) and 219 ppi pixel density.
- Performance: Offers up to 180 Hz refresh rate at 5K resolution, or 360 Hz at QHD resolution (2,560 x 1,440).
- Features: Shares the same feature set as the G80HS.
Odyssey OLED G7 (G73SH) and G8 (G80SH)

- Odyssey OLED G7 (G73SH):
- Display: 32-inch OLED panel with 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160 pixels).
- Performance: Supports up to 165 Hz refresh rate at 4K and up to 330 Hz at Full HD (1,920 x 1,080).
- Features: 0.03 ms GtG response time, 1,300 nits peak brightness, VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification, HDR10+/HDR10+ Gaming support.
- Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SH):
- Display: Available in 27-inch and 32-inch sizes, both with 4K resolution.
- Performance: Offers a 240 Hz refresh rate.
- Features: Includes 1,000 nits peak brightness, VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification, HDR10+ Gaming, FreeSync Premium Pro, but lacks G-Sync compatibility.
ViewFinity S8 Series: Productivity Meets Performance

- ViewFinity S85TH:
- Display: 40-inch curved VA panel with 5K2K resolution (5,120 x 2,160 pixels).
- Performance: Supports up to 144 Hz refresh rate and 4 ms GtG response time.
- Features: Thunderbolt 5 port with 80 Gbps data transfer, up to 140W charging, and a built-in KVM switch.
- ViewFinity S80HF:
- Display: 27-inch flat panel with 5K resolution (5,120 x 2,880 pixels).
- Performance: Offers a 60 Hz refresh rate and 5 ms GtG response time.
- Features: Limited connectivity options, excluding Thunderbolt 5.
Movingstyle Essential Monitor: Bigger and Better
Samsung’s Movingstyle Essential monitor now comes in a larger 43-inch 4K panel, an upgrade from the previous 27-inch and 32-inch models. It features a movable stand with height adjustment, pivot, swivel, and tilt capabilities. Detailed specifications are yet to be announced.
Pricing and Availability
Samsung has confirmed that the Odyssey G8, G7, and ViewFinity S8 monitors are already available, though US listings are pending at the time of publication. The Movingstyle Essential monitor will be released later. Pricing details for all models have not yet been disclosed.
