Key Details & Core Impact of the Realme 17 Pro Leak
A new report citing industry sources details the plain Realme 17 Pro. Specifically, it has a 1.5K AMOLED screen at 120Hz and a Dimensity 7300 chipset. Furthermore, its 50MP main camera pairs with an 8MP ultrawide.
Meanwhile, the selfie camera supports 4K video at 30fps, although its resolution is unclear at 32MP or 50MP. Furthermore, the phone has a 10,000mAh battery and an in-display fingerprint scanner. However, the headline spec may be the IP68 and IP69 ratings.
Our earlier Realme 17 Pro leak report covered the 200MP version, which now looks like a higher model. In addition, Realme’s official site lists the current phones and their designs.
Context & Background
Last month’s leak described a different phone, with a Dimensity 7500 chip and a 200MP main camera. Specifically, it also listed a 50MP telephoto with 3.5x optical zoom and a flat 1.5K OLED screen at 120Hz. Meanwhile, that screen could reach up to 165Hz in some games.
That earlier phone also had a plastic frame and a camera module resembling the 16 Pro+. Furthermore, its tipster later suggested that it could be the Pro+ or Pro Max. Consequently, the new report now makes that reading look plausible.
Industry Reaction & Consumer Next Steps
Buyers should treat both reports as leaks, since Realme has confirmed nothing. Furthermore, the plain Pro now looks like a mid-range phone with a huge battery. Meanwhile, the 200MP and telephoto specs may belong to the Pro+ or Pro Max instead.
Specifically, shoppers who want the 200MP camera should wait for the higher models. However, the plain Pro still offers a 10,000mAh battery and ColorOS 17 based on Android 17. Consequently, battery-first buyers may find the plain Pro enough.
The Realme 17 Pro lineup is getting clearer. The plain Pro is a 10,000mAh mid-ranger, while the 200MP specs likely belong to the Pro+ or Pro Max.
