Oppo has announced the Pad Mini Matte Display Edition for India from October 22. It will be powered by an 8,000 mAh battery and a processor based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. It will come with an 8.8-inch OLED screen with a refresh rate of 144 Hz.
The primary feature of the tablet is its matte display, which is optimized to minimize glare and deliver a paper-like writing experience with a stylus. The screen has a resolution of 2,520 x 1,680 pixels, has eye-comfort features and has a skin thickness of 2.99 mm. Oppo is also advertising the Lavender Purple colour for the Indian market.

The Pad Mini’s matte display sets it apart from other devices including the Apple iPad mini (A17 Pro), which sports an 8.3-inch LCD screen with a 60 Hz refresh rate. The Lenovo Legion Tab (Gen 3), on the other hand, features an 8.8-inch display with 165Hz refresh rate and is more geared towards gaming; it also has a glossy screen.

Oppo has also confirmed the Pad Mini’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor and 8,000 mAh battery for India. The Pad Mini features the latest flagship-class processor but is more compact than the Oppo Pad 5, which packs in a MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra chip with a bigger 10,050 mAh battery.
