Oppo has unveiled the Pad 5 Pro in China, positioning it as a high-end flagship tablet. It boasts a massive 13.2-inch display, the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, and an advanced eight-speaker audio system.
Launch Event Highlights
At its launch event in China, Oppo introduced several new devices, including the Find X9 Ultra and Find X9s Pro smartphones. The company also revealed two tablets:
- Pad Mini: A compact, high-performance tablet.
- Pad 5 Pro: Oppo’s premium offering in the tablet segment.
Oppo Pad 5 Pro Specifications
The Pad 5 Pro features a 13.2-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 3,392 x 2,400 pixels and a 7:5 aspect ratio. The display supports a 144Hz refresh rate, 1,000 nits peak brightness, and Dolby Vision for an immersive viewing experience.
Under the hood, the tablet is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Oppo claims the device achieves an impressive AnTuTu score of over 4.47 million points.
Battery life is robust, thanks to a 13,380mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging via a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port. Despite its large battery, the tablet is sleek, measuring just 5.94 mm thick and weighing 672 grams.
For photography, the Pad 5 Pro includes a 13-megapixel rear camera capable of recording 4K video at 30fps. On the front, there’s an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. The tablet runs ColorOS 16, based on Android 16, and offers additional features like an eight-speaker system, dual microphones, and Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) support.
Color Options and Pricing
The Oppo Pad 5 Pro is available in three stylish colors: Dawn Gold, Mocha Brown, and Monet Purple. Buyers can choose from four memory configurations:
- 8GB RAM + 256GB storage: CNY 4,299 (~$630)
- 12GB RAM + 256GB storage: CNY 4,499 (~$659)
- 12GB RAM + 512GB storage: CNY 4,999 (~$733)
- 16GB RAM + 512GB storage: CNY 5,499 (~$806)
Global Availability
Oppo has not yet announced global availability for the Pad 5 Pro. However, its specifications closely resemble those of the OnePlus Pad 4, which is set to launch in India on April 30.
