OnePlus Ace 7 Series Confirms 185Hz Gaming Display Panel

OnePlus has confirmed the OnePlus Ace 7 display for the Ace 7 and Ace 7 Pro. Specifically, both gaming phones launch in China on October 29. Furthermore, the panel runs at 165Hz across the system and up to 185Hz in supported games.

Key Details & Core Impact

The display is the fourth-generation Oriental Screen developed by OnePlus and BOE. Furthermore, OnePlus says the custom X4 luminescent material improves clarity and transparency. Meanwhile, a new LTPO ultra-high refresh rate circuit makes the high rates possible without wasting power on static content.

For eye comfort, OnePlus adds its Bright Eyes Protection feature, developed with MedSight and Vision. Additionally, OnePlus China President Li Jie claims this is the industry’s only 185Hz LTPO flagship ultra-high-definition display this year. Consequently, the Ace 7 series breaks OnePlus’ usual pattern of giving performance phones a lesser panel than its flagships.

Context & Background

OnePlus first shared details about this panel before the OnePlus 16 launch. Therefore, reusing the same screen for the Ace 7 series is a notable upgrade for the performance line. Notably, reservations for the new phones are already open through OnePlus’ official store in China.

Both models are expected to use chips from the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 series. However, OnePlus has not confirmed the remaining specifications yet. Meanwhile, battery capacity and cooling details from earlier leaks remain unconfirmed, so buyers must wait for the full reveal.

Industry Reaction & Consumer Next Steps

For gamers, the headline is simple: smoother motion where it matters, without a flagship price tag assumption. Furthermore, the official confirmation is covered in GizmoChina’s report on the Ace 7 series display. Meanwhile, high-refresh fans can compare this with our Galaxy S27 early launch report.
