The Xiaomi 17 Max has appeared on Geekbench ahead of its China launch. The listing points to a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset with 16GB of RAM. The early scores place it slightly above the current Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 average.

Xiaomi’s next flagship smartphone will be the Xiaomi 17 Max. Before its debut in China, the smartphone’s rumored to have appeared on Geekbench to provide an early glimpse of its performance.
The Xiaomi 17 Max has the model number 2605EPN8EC, according to a @yabhishekhd on X. It is listed with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in Geekbench. The phone’s listing also shows that it is running Android 16.
The Xiaomi 17 Max scored 3,750 points in single-core and 11,674 points in multi-core CPU tests on Geekbench. In the test, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra got 3,722 and 11,411 points, respectively, outdoing Xiaomi 17 Max a little.
Specifically, the Xiaomi 17 Max’s performance scores are higher than the average of Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 devices, which are at 3,651 for single-core and 11,188 points for multi-core tests.
Key highlights of the Xiaomi 17 Max
1n preparation for its May 21 launch in China, the company has shared several details about the device. The main camera sensor in Xiaomi 17 Max is 200MP, whereas the other variants of the Xiaomi 17 have a primary sensor of 50MP. It has the highest capacity battery among the range, with 8,000mAh. The smartphone will have a 6.9-inch display screen, same as that of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. Meanwhile, the company has announced the worldwide release of the new Xiaomi 17T series.
