Motorola has officially launched the Razr Fold smartphone in India with Pantone-validated color options. The book-style foldable smartphone features an 8.1-inch main display, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, and a 6,000 mAh battery with 80 W wired charging support. On top of this, the company also brings the Razr Fold’s FIFA World Cup Edition to India.
After the debut in the USA, Motorola has officially revealed its first ever book style foldable Razr Fold in India. The smartphone comes as a direct rival to the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 5G (curr. available at $1649.99 on Amazon) and the Vivo X Fold 5. Speaking of price, the foldable starts at INR 149,999 ($1,565) for the base 12 GB + 256 GB model and INR 159,999 ($1,670) for the top-end 16 GB + 512 GB variant.
The company has also launched the Razr Fold FIFA World Cup Edition in India, which goes for INR 169,999 ($1,775). The Motorola India website now allows interested buyers to pre-order the foldable smartphone which will begin shipping from May 20.
Features-wise, it comes with the same specs as the worldwide version. To be more specific, the Motorola Razr runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor and has up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of inbuilt storage that is non-expansive. It comes with the inbuilt Android 16 and gets 7 major Android upgrades till 2023 (Android 23) and Motorola says it will provide 7 years of security patches till 2033.
The smartphone has a 6,000 mAh battery, offering 80 W wired charging, 50 W wireless charging and 5 W reverse charging. In addition, the book-style foldable comes with an 8.1-inch main LTPO P-OLED 120 Hz display and a 6.6-inch cover LTPO P-OLED 165 Hz display. The former has a resolution of 2484 x 2232, and the latter has a resolution of 1080p.
At the back, it has a triple camera setup for photography, including a 50 MP periscope telephoto lens and an ultrawide 50 MP camera. At the front there are 20 MP camera on the main display screen and a 32 MP snapper camera on cover screen.
