Lenovo has released new AMD Gorgon Point laptops globally. Available in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes, the IdeaPad Pro 5a Gen 11 features 2.8K OLED displays, fast LPDDR5X-8533 RAM and up to 99 Wh batteries.
Lenovo has already launched the IdeaPad Pro 5a Gen 11 in Europe and other regions such as Australia. The IdeaPad Pro 5a Gen 11, not presented at CES 2026 alongside IdeaPad Pro 5i Gen 11, sacrifices Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 series graphics, which are currently available in its Gen 10 counterparts ( curr. ideal Pad Pro 5i ). Lenovo instead makes the IdeaPad Pro 5a Gen 11 use AMD Gorgon Point APUs.
New Gen 11 models also include 2.8K, 120 Hz and 1,100-nit AMOL displays, M.2 2242 storage and LPDDR5X-8533 RAM. In addition, Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 7 connectivity and 24 GB or 32 GB of RAM is offered by Lenovo as well. Additionally, 14-inch models are only available with 92.5 Wh battery but 16-inch models may be ordered with 84 Wh batteries or 99.9 Wh batteries.
The IdeaPad Pro 5a Gen 11 begins at £1,300/€1,169/AU$2,379 as a 14-inch model where Ryzen AI 7 450, 24GB of RAM and 1 TB of Shared Storage is included. It should be noted that the UK and Eurozone configurations can be ordered without a power adapter and operating system. To a point of reference, Lenovo costs a whopping €10 and 40 on the latter two respectively. Or, that 14-inch model may be ordered with up to a Ryzen AI 9 465, 32 GB of RAM, a 1 TB SSD, a 100 W charger and a Windows 11 Pro licence at a price of £1,600/ 1449/AU 2799.
In the meantime, the 16-inch model by Lenovo has a starting price of £1,290/€1,509/AU$2,429 with slightly different specifications as the 14-inch model but an increased battery of 84 Wh. In comparison, the larger IdeaPad Pro 5a Gen 11 by Lenovo can be sold at a maximum of £1,620/E1,839/AU 2888 with a Ryzen AI 9 465, 32GB of RAM, 1 TB SSD, a 100w charger and a Windows 11 Pro licence as well. By the way a 99 Wh battery may be ordered at a premium price of £10/39/AU$39.
