Dell has launched its latest lightweight 14-inch workstation laptop, the Pro Precision 5 Series 14S, which is now available globally. This model can be configured with either AMD Ryzen AI 400 or Intel Panther Lake processors. The Intel version supports up to 64 GB LPDCAMM2 RAM and features Arc B390 graphics.

The Pro Precision 5 Series 14 is also available worldwide. As previously reported, this 14-inch laptop combines Intel’s Panther Lake platform with LPCAMM2 RAM and comes with Ubuntu Linux pre-installed.
Weight Comparison:
Despite being a workstation laptop, the Pro Precision 5 Series 14 is relatively heavy for its size, weighing over 1.8 kg. For comparison:
- Gaming laptops like the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 and Razer Blade 14 (2025) are lighter.
- Even Apple’s MacBook Pro 14 (reviewed in late 2025) weighs less, currently priced at $1,499 on Amazon.
Lightweight Alternative:

For those seeking a lighter option, Dell offers the Pro Precision 5 Series 14S, which it describes as its “thinnest and lightest” mobile workstation. First unveiled in March 2026, this model starts at 1.4 kg with AMD Ryzen AI 400 processors and measures 10.8–19.1 mm thick. Intel Panther Lake versions are equally thick but weigh 200 g more than their AMD counterparts. Both variants share the same ports, with Thunderbolt 4 for Intel models and USB4 for AMD models.
Display Options:
All configurations of the Pro Precision 5 Series 14S offer up to a 120 Hz QHD+ IPS display with 500 nits brightness. An OLED option is available, but it is limited to FHD+ resolution, a 60 Hz refresh rate, and 300 nits peak brightness. Additionally, the laptop can be equipped with either 57 Wh or 70 Wh batteries, including Long Lifecycle variants for extended durability.
