Indeed, yesterday 12th October Oppo released the recently unveiled Oppo K12 Plus in China as promised earlier today.
It is backed up by the Qualcomm SM7225V Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 soc with Adreno 648 GPU and runs on up to 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512 GB of onboard UFS 3.1 storage that is further expandable up to 1 TB via micro SD card slot.
The smartphone comes with the Android 14-based ColorOS 14, but there is no mention of how many updates the Oppo will roll out.
The Oppo K12 Plus houses a 6.7” 120Hz FullHD+ AMOLED screen with 1,100 nits max brightness and water damage coating. Oppo K12 Plus has a self-developed shock-absorbing diamond structure and a safety airbag design that protects the device from all angles.

For photography, it has three cameras that are 50 MP primary with OIS, 8 MP ultra wide, 16 MP for selfies. The toolkits of the smartphones include an AI eraser where one can build emojis by making a silhouette of a person, pet, or an object from the pictures.
Powering the Oppo K12 Plus is a 6,400 mAh battery as well with options for 80W wired and 10W reverse wired charging. Oppo explains that a typical battery can be charged to 50% within just 20 minutes and an 80W power plug-in.
Some other features of the Oppo K12 Plus include; X-axis motor for the 4D Vibration during the games, dual speakers, NFC, IR blaster, in-display fingerprint scanner, IP54 rating, and 5G support.
Moreover, Oppo K12 Plus has a 4,129mm2 liquid-cooled VC heat sink, supports 120 FPS gaming for a few games, supports offline chat function to make a phone call to friends around you without internet connection.
The Oppo K12 Plus is offered in white and black colors with three memory options – 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB, and 12GB/512GB, priced at CNY1,899 ($270/€245/NGN442,800.00), CNY2,099 ($300/€270/NGN492,000.00), and CNY2,499 ($355/€325/NGN582,200.00), respectively. It’s up for pre-orders in China through Oppo’s official website, with sales beginning October 15.
