Infinix has introduced a new gaming tablet, the Xpad GT which is priced affordably. The phone comes with the Snapdragon 888 SoC, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. In Malaysia, the price for the phone is MYR 1,699 which equals about $402 (NGN 636,952.92).

The Infinix Xpad is an affordable 4G-connected tablet from last year. Now the company is introducing a GT model, which is aimed at gamers on a budget and it achieves its value-for-money goal with an unexpected pick for a chipset.

The Infinix Xpad GT has been introduced to the Malaysian market. The main point is that it is a budget tablet with a top-of-the-line processor, the Snapdragon 888, like the ones in flagship phones from last year. Even though it’s an old SoC, the Adreno 660 GPU is still able to run a lot of today’s mobile games.

Infinix states that the Xpad GT lets you play PUBG at 90 frames per second, Honor of Kings and Mobile Legends at 120 frames per second and Standoff 2 at 144 frames per second. Although the company didn’t mention the graphical settings used for testing, the Snapdragon 888 is also praised for running games at high settings.
Infinix mentions that the SoC is supported by a large vapor cooling chamber to ensure gaming performance is not interrupted. Right now, the only version of the gaming tablet has the Snapdragon 888 chip, 8 GB RAM and 256 GB of storage.

Its display is 13 inches in size and it has a resolution of 1840×2880 pixels and operates at 144 Hz. HDR10 is available on the screen and Infinix says the screen-to-body ratio is 89.5%.
Having 8 speakers built into the design is a major advantage of the new gaming tablet. It is said to provide an immersive audio experience using the DTS 3D sound technology. The Xpad GT’s hardware is powered by a 10,000 mAh battery and it can be charged with 33 W fast charging (140 W Anker 737 24K power bank curr. $109.99 on Amazon).
Other good things about the tablet are its keyboard and stylus support, an all-metal body that is 6.5 mm thick and Infinix AI. Malaysian shoppers could pre-order the Xpad GT for MYR 1,699 which is around $402. Information about when the phone will be available outside India is not available yet.
