The Xiaomi Redmi K90 Ultra is the next sub-flagship offering by Xiaomi. As per reports, the smartphone has now cleared 3C certification in China.
In June 2025, Xiaomi had unveiled its Redmi K80 Ultra as a high-end offering packing Dimensity 9400 Plus chipset. However, now Xiaomi Redmi K90 Ultra smartphone is said to clear another certification test in China.
According to leaks, the 3C certification of Xiaomi’s “2604FRK1EC” model number smartphone refers to the new Redmi K90 Ultra phone. It supports 100W fast charging, just like the previous Redmi K80 Ultra. Also, leaks suggest that the Redmi K90 Ultra might be equipped with a huge 8,500 mAh cell compared to 7,410mAh on its predecessor.
Moreover, some leaks suggest that Xiaomi Redmi K90 Ultra smartphone will pack a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution along with 165Hz refresh rate. As a reference, Xiaomi Redmi K80 Ultra smartphone sports a 144Hz refresh rate panel. On top of that, performance of this new phone might get a huge boost due to rumors about its Dimensity 9500 Plus chipset alongside cooling fan.
Previously it was leaked that the Redmi K90 Ultra will be equipped with Bose-tuned speakers, which were among the main highlights of the Xiaomi Poco F8 Ultra (curr. $848 on Amazon). As the Redmi K80 Ultra was China-exclusive, it remains to be seen whether the K90 Ultra will see a global release. In other news, Xiaomi has started rolling out the stable version of HyperOS 3.1 globally.
