Xiaomi has officially unveiled its latest special edition smartphone, designed specifically for Marvel fans. The new Iron Man Edition stands out from the regular Poco X8 Pro with unique design elements and exclusive features.
To mark the global launch of the Poco X8 series, Xiaomi has once again partnered with Marvel. The company introduced two models: the Poco X8 Pro and the Poco X8 Pro Max. Notably, the Poco X7 does not yet have a direct successor (currently priced at $281 on Amazon).
Focusing on the Iron Man Edition, it is based on the Poco X8 Pro rather than the higher-end Poco X8 Pro Max. While the hardware remains identical to the standard Poco X8 Pro, the Iron Man Edition offers the following key specifications:
- Display: 6.59-inch AMOLED, 1.5K resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate
- Processor: MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra
- Memory & Storage: LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.1 flash storage
- Battery: 6,500 mAh with 100 W fast charging
- Cameras: 50 MP primary (IMX882), 8 MP ultra-wide, 20 MP front-facing
The main differences lie in its design and accessories. The Edition features a black body with gold accents, inspired by Stark Industries’ iconic black-and-gold armor. It also includes an exclusive Iron Man-themed user interface, unavailable on the standard Poco X8 Pro.
Additionally, Xiaomi bundles the Iron Man Edition with exclusive accessories to enhance the Marvel theme. However, these extras come at a premium. Priced at $399, the Iron Edition is $100 more expensive than the standard Poco X8 Pro. This higher price is partly due to its upgraded configuration, offering 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. Unlike the standard model, the Iron Man Edition does not qualify for the $40 Early Bird discount.
