The Xiaomi 15 Edition are expected to be released in China in October 2024, following the just announced October 2024 release of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. So far so good. There could be another Xiaomi 15 model this year and this doesn’t necessarily mean the Xiaomi 15 Ultra which is expected to launch in 2025. In the past, there have been hints at a special edition in the form of the Xiaomi 15 Pro Ti Satellite and then the Xiaomi 15S Pro Special Design Edition.
This last rumor is still somewhat connected with the approximate recent message of the Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station that the Xiaomi 15 Edition may come out this year and can feature a transparent body. The leaker demonstrates how this may look, however this is clearly just an idea. Thus, apparently, XIaomi is preparing a camera module in the same vein as the Google Pixel series, which occupies the entire width of the back but is much higher than the Pixel 8 Pro.

Whether this “Xiaomi 15 Transparent Explorer Edition” will actually be like this or whether this device will actually ever be released is unclear.
