Vivo has confirmed plans to launch a new mid-range smartphone. Described as the ‘people’s flagship’ because of its 200 MP camera and 7,000 mAh battery, the Vivo Y500 Pro will also feature the chipset that already powers the Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro.

Vivo has recently unveiled the X300 and the X300 Pro in the world market, and it was at the same month when it introduced the two in China. However, the firm has already assured through Weibo that it is in the offing with a new smartphone. Instead of its so-called S50 series, Vivo has chosen to introduce the Y500 Pro in its local market next week, in its own target market, as a new people little flagship.
To be more exact, Vivo will unveil the device on Monday, November 10. Vivo has already verified that the Y500 Pro will be a combination of features such as the 7,000 mAh battery and 200 MP main camera, before its official launch. To make a point, the mentioned ISOCELL HP5 can already be bought as an in-built feature of the Galaxy S25 Edge (as of today, priced at $644.99 on Amazon).
Nevertheless, Vivo can also be used with 2 MP auxiliary lenses instead of an ultra-wide-angle or telephoto camera. In any case, the Y500 Pro is IP69 certified, and reportedly safeguards its 6.67-inch display with the same 6.67-inch anti-glare glass as used on the current flagship smartphones of Vivo. Out of box with Sporting OriginOS 6, more recent Geekbench entries suggest that the Y500 Pro will also offer a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset and 12 GB of memory just like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro and other competitors.
