The Honor Magic 8 Pro is among the first phones that are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. About a month after its Chinese debut, the camera flagship is now officially landing outside China, with Malaysia being the first.

Honor has launched the Magic 8 line in China in mid-October of 2025 and this lineup had two of the first flagship phones running on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The Pro is officially exiting the Chinese market among the two.
Speaking of which, the Honor Magic 8 Pro has just become pre-saleable in Malaysia and the model with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage has a pre-sale price of RM 4,599. Another option is offered, that is, 16 GB of memory and an increase of the storage to 1 TB, and it costs RM 5,199.
These Malaysian prices are equivalent to approximately 1,113 and 1,258, respectively. These versions sell at approximately 847 and 946 dollars respectively. To make the offer more palatable, Honor is including an Insta360 Ace Pro as part of Malaysian pre-order deal, and other promotional advantages can be obtained.
Concerning the specs, the Malaysian Honor Magic 8 Pro is specified to have the same spec sheet as its equivalent in China. It is the fairly large 7,100 mAh battery, that is compatible with 80 W wireless and 100 W wired fast charging (160 W Anker Prime charger curr. $99.99 on Amazon). One more strength of the phone is its 6.71-inch screen, with a brightness rating of 1,800 nits and a 120 Hz refresh rate.
