Samsung has officially teased its long-rumored Galaxy Z Fold7 Ultra, signaling its upcoming release later this year. This premium foldable, specifically the Galaxy Fold7 Ultra, will debut alongside the standard Z Fold7, the Z Flip7, and a new Z Flip7 FE model. An early July launch event in New York is anticipated for these devices.
The teaser emphasizes the Z Fold7 Ultra’s slim design, which is expected to surpass the thinness of both the 5.6mm Z Fold6 and the 4.9mm Z Fold Special Edition. Samsung is also boldly claiming the Ultra will feature a “best-in-class” camera, directly challenging competitors like the vivo X Fold3 Pro. Many anticipate that the Galaxy Fold7 Ultra will set new benchmarks in the smartphone industry.

While the Z Fold Ultra was initially expected with the previous Z Fold6 generation, its development continued. The Galaxy Fold7 Ultra is now seen as the pinnacle of Samsung’s foldable technology. Samsung later released the Z Fold Special Edition in South Korea and China (as the W25) in October. This device, with its larger displays, 200MP camera, 16GB RAM, and a slimmer 4.9mm unfolded profile, appears to have served as a precursor to the forthcoming Fold7 Ultra.
