Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 Arrives as the Biggest Update Yet

After finding itself playing catch-up in the foldable space, Samsung is finally ready to strike back with the brand-new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7. This is arguably the biggest update to the Z Fold series in years, with larger screens, a thinner and lighter chassis, and a powerful 200MP main camera that puts it back in contention for the foldable crown.

Thinner, Lighter, and More Refined

At just 215 grams, the Galaxy Z Fold7 is now lighter than a Galaxy S25 Ultra and a full 24 grams lighter than last year’s Z Fold6. Thanks to a new Armor Flex Hinge, it measures a sleek 8.9mm when folded and an incredibly thin 4.2mm when unfolded. These dimensions finally allow Samsung to compete with the ultra-slim foldables from top Chinese brands.

More importantly for usability, the cover display has been widened to a 21:9 aspect ratio, making it much more comfortable for typing and daily use—a common complaint with previous models.

A True Flagship Camera System

For the first time, Samsung has equipped its foldable with a true flagship camera. The main sensor is a 200MP ISOCELL HP2—the same one found in the S25 Ultra—which promises incredible detail and low-light performance. This is paired with a 10MP 3x telephoto lens and a new 12MP ultrawide module, creating a versatile camera system that no longer feels like a compromise.
