Samsung confirmed plans to begin selling its latest ultra-premium foldable again. Available soon, the device surpasses the Galaxy Z Fold7 with a significantly larger internal display. Samsung only plans to offer limited quantities of the Galaxy Z TriFold again, though.
Recently Samsung launched the Galaxy Z TriFold in the U.S. last month. It was officially sold on January 30 and the first-generation version was sold out during the day. The demand of the phone and its scarcity was demonstrated as Samsung was able to exhaust its first U.S. supply within less than half an hour.
The Galaxy Z TriFold will come back to the U.S. in use in its initial restock almost a month later. This time Samsung is not telling us the number of units that it will be selling, hence, we believe that the volume will be low. Selling will reopen on February 20, 07:00 PT and 10:00 ET.
It is worth mentioning that the original, 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, tri-foldable phone of Samsung costs 2899 dollars. It has the same cover display and Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset as the Galaxy Z Fold7 ( currently priced at 1599 on Amazon). Display problems have been reported by some of the first adopters, which we discussed independently. The Galaxy TriFold and the Huawei Mate XT are two smartphones of this type that are featured in our hands-on comparison.
