I’ve been following the buzz: Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the Redmi Buds 8 Pro wireless earbuds worldwide very soon. In fact, Xiaomi has confirmed an international debut on February 28, 2026, the same date it unveils its new Xiaomi 17 phones. So what can you and I expect from these earbuds? In short: premium audio features and long battery life at a mid-range price. Let’s dive into the details.
First off, the Buds 8 Pro have some impressive specs. According to Xiaomi’s global site and tech news reports, the earbuds will come in Cloud White, Glacier Blue, and Obsidian Black. Each tiny earbud has a 54 mAh battery, and the charging case packs 480 mAh, which translates to about 8 hours of playtime on a single charge. That’s per bud – with the case, you get roughly 33 hours total. Plus, they support fast charging: just 5 minutes of charge gives you about 2 hours of listening. In everyday terms, you and I can leave the house with a full charge and not worry about recharging until the next day.
Active Noise Cancellation and Premium Audio.
The audio hardware is the first thing that you will notice. The ear buds contain coaxial triple driver and are compatible with Hi-Res Wireless Audio and LDAC. It translates to more detailed richness and bass than the previous model. Xiaomi boasts over 2dB of additional bass under 100Hz compared to Buds 6 Pro, and the product is powered by Dolby Audio to give it a sharp sound and surround-like experience. A 3D audio feature that has a head-tracking holds the sound wherever you move your head. You will hear the bass tighter and the dialogue clearer, should you be an avid gamer or videogamer.
The other strength is noise cancellation. Redmi Buds 8 Pro wireless earbuds provides up to 55 dB of ANC, one of the highest on the true wireless earbuds. Xiaomi describes how the system records the ambient sound at a maximum of 32,000 times a second and regulates the ANC in real-time. There is a special Commuting mode that is tuned to airplanes, trains or buses, and which combines ANC with light masking sounds. The earbuds have three microphones in each earbud and use AI to remove noise, resulting in a call that can remain clear even when in the wind, and Xiaomi claims that each earbud can handle wind speeds up to 12m/s. The earbuds can shut the noise and allow you to concentrate in the noisy cafes, subways or streets.
Connectivity, Battery and Build.
Connectivity is current. The Buds 8 Pro relies on Bluetooth 5.4 to use stable connections. They can be used simultaneously with any two devices and hence one can use phone and laptop without having to re-pair the devices. Android Fast Mate Google Fast Mate allows you to instantly pair with your phone just by opening the case. Neat touch: when you and a friend have one each, it can also be used to share audio in this scenario, one phone can play to two Buds 8 Pro simultaneously, which is ideal to watch movies together.
The design is also appealing. Xiaomi has provided the Buds 8 Pro with an IP54 rating and is therefore dust-proof and water-resistant. They can be used in light precipitation or when you are having a sweaty workout, but not in a shower. The charging case is also equipped with a convenient LED strip to display the battery life, and the earbuds themselves are smooth with three color choices.

Launch, Pricing and Availability.

It goes global February 28, 2026. Sale should commence directly after that or by the beginning of March. Xiaomi is yet to declare an official MSRP, but a good guess can be made through retailer leaks. In Europe, the prices range around €69.99 (approximately, $80) including VAT. In Southeast Asia, the pricing resembles: MYR 269 (~$69) in Malaysia and THB 2,190 (~$71) in Thailand on the day of launch. In certain markets, actually a little cheaper than that last generation, like a Czech store is charging 1799 Kc (~$71) vs 1999 Kc that the Buds 6 Pro costs at launch.
Local Xiaomi is selling Buds 8 Pro on a large scale. They are already being sold in Malaysia and Thailand, and they are being offered online by a variety of European retailers like the MediaMarkt and Saturn of Germany. The earbuds are projected to hit most of the global markets soon following the announcement of the earbuds on Feb 28. Find the official store or official sellers of Xiaomi in your country in order to get the best bargain; the first to get the new product might even get a launch discount.
Why It Matters
It has got good audio technology, triple drivers with Dolby, hi-res support and serious noise cancellation with battery life and connectivity that the majority of us require in our day-to-day life. These earbuds have a lot of check boxes in a world where we make and receive calls on a variety of devices, music and videos. This is why the Redmi Redmi Buds 8 Pro wireless earbuds are becoming a worthy competitor to any person that wants high-end features in a relatively affordable price.
Personally, I’m excited about trying them out. They look like they could solve my own needs for clear calls on busy streets and rich sound on long commutes. And I bet you’ll appreciate those features too. Keep an eye out around late February: once the Xiaomi event wraps up, we should get the final price and street date. Based on the early listings, I’m hoping they turn out to be great value. In the meantime, stay tuned and let me know – what feature of the Buds 8 Pro are you most looking forward to trying out?
