The UHZ36 is a 4K UHD laser projector which has been introduced by Optoma in the US. The projector is designed to be used in the living-room with the help of laser light source and HDR. It further has an integrated speaker, two HDMI ports and automatic keystone correction.

The UHZ36, offered throughout the US, targets the home based entertainment. It is capable of projecting images that are up to 300 inches on a screen or a wall.
The UHZ36 is a DLP projector which has a 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160 pixels) in the native 16:9 format. It has a light source of 3,500 lumens provided by its laser- phosphor light source, thus, can be used in a day light room. The contrast ratio of the projector is 1,000,000:1, it has a broad range of the Rec. 709 color space, HDR, and Filmmaker Mode. It has an aspect ratio of between 1.21 and 1.59: 1, a manual zoom of 1.3 and an automatic vertical keystone fix.
In order to utilize the projector, one must connect a streaming device (like a Fire TV Stick 4K Plus (priced at $29.99 on Amazon, at present) or a smartphone or a laptop. These are a gateway to such applications as Netflix and Disney+. The UHZ36 has USB-A, RS232 and 2 HDMI 2.0 (one with ARC) inputs. It achieves an input lag of 8.5 0 0 ms at 1080 0 p at 240 0 Hz and has Auto Low Latency Mode. It also has a built-in speaker of 15W. It is 274mm by 215.5mm by 101mm (around 10.8mm by 8.5mm by 4in), and the unit measures 3.4kg (c. 7.5lb).

In the US, Amazon and B&H Photo sell the UHZ36 at $1,299. Its European launch date is not mentioned.
