The official release of the next-generation flagship smartwatch by Oppo is a few days away. The manufacturer is already showingcase most of the major features of the smartwatch, and it will apparently be not only thinner and lighter, but the display will be brighter and a modem will be placed in the titanium casing as well.

Another alternative to the OnePlus Watch 3 (on sale now at $341 on Amazon) will be officially released on Tuesday, March 17. In one of the teaser sites that Oppo has now disclosed much of the most essential information about the features of the smartwatch. Instead of stainless steel, Oppo has switched to titanium in the case where this has made it 16 percent lighter and 6.4 percent thinner.
It is IP69 and MIL-STD-810H certified and the smartwatch is even water-resistant enough to wear in the swimming pool. The round AMOLED screen has a much greater brightness of 3,000 nits, and the brightness of smartwatches can only be realistically summoned in direct sunlight to enhance readability. Besides the touchscreen, there is also a button and a digital crown that could be used to control it.
The Oppo Watch X3 is expected to have a diverse variety of functions, particularly in matters of health features. Oppo has built a heart rate and SpO2 sensor, a skin temperature sensor and an ECG. The smartwatch has a 60-second health check that enables the device to capture all data of sensors at once in order to get a breakdown of all the metrics. The smartwatch is also meant to alert users when they are under the danger of having a high blood pressure, yet the Oppo Watch X3 cannot measure blood pressure.

There is a minor detail that the smartwatch can be synchronized with a Apple phone as well as a Google phone simultaneously – useful to those who have a couple of smartphones. Oppo Watch X3 can support over 100 apps. With the help of an LTE modem with eSIM, the smartwatch has the ability to connect to the mobile network even without a smartphone when it is in motion.
