On September 15, Samsung launched the long-awaited release of the One UI 8 (Android 16) update (or the short-awaited, when you take into account that One UI 7 was released just a little less than a year earlier as opposed to an annual release schedule).

It was officially launched following months of beta testing on the Galaxy S25 series and a shorter beta test on some other devices, such as the Galaxy S24, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy A55, among others. The majority of other worthy Galaxy devices, however, will not undergo beta testing at all, but instead will simply transition out of One UI 7 into One UI 8.
These Galaxy devices have one UI 8.0 update.
Therefore, does your Galaxy phone appear in the list of the devices that are already updated to the new one, or will you need to wait a bit longer? Find out below.
Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra
Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra
Galaxy S24 FE
Galaxy Z Fold 6
Galaxy Z Flip 6
Galaxy A56
It is worth considering that when Samsung starts releasing an update to a device, it is not automatically released in all the countries. The release is normally done in phases and it might take days to make the update global. To use the example of One UI 8 by the Galaxy S25 first released in Korea, the release only commenced in other markets 2 days later.
We’ll keep updating the list as One UI 8 expands to more Galaxy phones and tablets, so make sure to bookmark this page and check back regularly.
