According to new leaks, Xiaomi could be set to phase out the vanilla Poco F8 and Poco X8 models, with the Poco F8 potentially being replaced by the Poco X8 Pro Max in the company’s hierarchy.

The Poco F8 series was launched much earlier in the year than is customary by Xiaomi, with Poco F8 Pro and Poco F8 Ultra being launched in November. According to history, the company will be launching the vanilla Poco F8 in the next few months however, the grapevine is now saying otherwise.
Xiaomi Time claims that Poco F8 might be completely absent. Allegedly, Xiaomi could currently have narrowed the range down to the Poco F8 Pro and Poco F8 Ultra, the regular Poco F8 being quietly retired. The Poco F7 (buy on Amazon) was the Redmi Turbo 5 Pro rebranded, but the store says that it is developing the Redmi Turbo 5 Pro Max rather, rebranded into the Poco X8 Pro Max.
The same is reported to play out with the vanilla Poco X8 too. As Xiaomi will release the Poco X8 Pro as usual, that is, in fact, a Redmi Turbo 5 rebodied, Xiaomi Time asserts that the regular Poco X8 will not exist, making the lineup have only two models the Poco X8 Pro and the aforementioned Poco X8 Pro Max.
We are yet to substantiate the validity of these claims because they appear totally premised on IMEI database registers of the concerned devices. Speaking of which, it appears that Xiaomi is not likely to fully drop the Poco F8, as the nameplate is one of the most recognizable and popular of the company, since the initial Poco F1.
