A recent report from prominent leaker Digital Chat Station hinted that the Xiaomi 18 series will come with 200 MP cameras. It seems that the same will somewhat be true for the Redmi K100 series, which will eventually be rebranded as Poco F9 phones in the global market.
According to Digital Chat Station, a series of upgrades is likely to be introduced by the Xiaomi 18 series, among which are 200- MP cameras. It is expected that the next Redmi K100 series will be upgraded the same way.
A new report by Smart Pikachu suggests that Xiaomi will focus the next generation Redmi K100 series to be above other luxurious devices. The product will be launched with the three models K100, K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max.
The Redmi K100 Pro Max is the only device that will probably have a 200-MP camera, but it remains unclear whether it will be a periscope camera or a primary camera.
To provide some background, the Redmi K90 Pro Max, which is marketed as the Poco F8 Ultra in the rest of the world, features triple 50 Mp cameras. It was the first Redmi product with a periscope telephoto lens, which is also a major selling point.
Going to Redmi K100 line, the Pro Max model will be possibly renamed to Poco F9 Ultra. It is likely to be released with performance oriented features, including an up to date flagship SoC of Qualcomm and a big battery. Chinese release will be in September 2026 and more information can emerge in the near future.
