Lava Blaze AMOLED 2 Launches: A New Budget King

Indian brand Lava is stepping up its game in the budget smartphone segment with the launch of the Lava Blaze AMOLED 2. This new device aims to pack a serious punch in a slim form factor, bringing premium features like a high-refresh-rate AMOLED display and a Sony camera to a very affordable price point.

Big Features in a Sleek Body

Lava is highlighting the “Linea Design” of the Blaze AMOLED 2, claiming it’s one of the slimmest phones in its segment at just 7.55mm thick. While not as thin as some high-end flagships like the Galaxy S24 Ultra, it’s an impressive feat for a budget phone that costs around $150. The main attraction is its tall 6.67-inch AMOLED display, which boasts an FHD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rateβ€”a feature that will make it stand out in the crowded Nigerian market.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7060 SoC, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. A sizeable 5,000mAh battery keeps the lights on, supported by 33W fast charging.

The phone runs Android 15 out of the box and supports virtual RAM expansion for improved multitasking performance.

Pricing and Nigerian Availability

The Lava Blaze AMOLED 2 has launched in India in two colors, Midnight Black and Feather White. While an official Nigerian launch date has not been announced, Lava has been making inroads into the African market, and this device is a perfect fit for the budget-conscious consumer who still wants premium features.

Estimated Pricing: The phone is priced at β‚Ή13,499 in India (approx. $160). When it arrives in Nigeria, we can expect it to be priced competitively in the ~₦240,000 – ₦280,000 range, making it a strong contender against popular models from TECNO and Infinix.
