Instagram is is looking to adopt the photo dump, allowing its users to add up to 20 photos or videos to their feed carousels. Dating back to 2017, Instagram made it possible for its users to up to 10 photos or videos in a swipeable carousel post. Which means that it is now 2 times the number of videos or photos an Instagramer can post.
Instagram began with a single picture post for its users to share with their followers. But as development continually occured, the idea of photo dump began to find more expression on Instagram giving its users a benefit of posting a collection of photos and or videos over posting just a single picture or video.
With the new development on Instagram which includes doubling the number of videos and photos you can post on a carousel, Instagram is embracing photo dumps in time for the end of the summer. It’s not so bad if this development brings Instagram closer to TikTok’s feature, which allows its users add up to 35 photos in a single post.
Well this new development might not meet the best part of its users as some might consider it an overkill because not everyone might be interested in swiping through a whole album of pictures more than 10 slide. Well the development is no news or surprise to some as Instagram was seen testing it back in March.
