HP has officially launched the EliteBoard G1a, a device that looks like a standard wireless keyboard but packs the power of a high-performance mini-PC. Equipped with an AMD Zen 5 processor, it can be configured with up to 32 GB of RAM and a 2 TB SSD, making it a turbocharged alternative to the Raspberry Pi 500.

The EliteBoard G1a was first showcased at CES 2026 and is now available in select markets. Despite its compact size—comparable to the MX Keys Mini (currently $99.99 on Amazon)—it offers significantly more power than similar devices like the Raspberry Pi 500.
While HP initially announced a global release for this month, the device is currently listed as “coming soon” in Europe, the UK, and the US. However, it has already launched in parts of East Asia, including Hong Kong and Japan.
In these regions, HP has confirmed all technical specifications and introduced steep discounts. For example, in Japan, prices have been slashed by over 50% for most configurations. The starting price is HKD 11,999 (~$1,530) in Hong Kong and JPY 232,800 (~$1,467) in Japan, inclusive of taxes.
At this price point, the base model includes:
- AMD Ryzen AI 5 330 processor with 4 Zen 5 cores and a Radeon 820M iGPU.
- 16 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM.
- 256 GB of storage in Japan or 512 GB of storage in Hong Kong.
All configurations come with a 32 Wh battery supporting 65 W charging and feature dual USB 4 ports. Below is the full pricing breakdown:
- AMD Ryzen AI 5 330/16 GB RAM/256 GB SSD – JPY 232,800 (~$1,467)
- AMD Ryzen AI 5 330/16 GB RAM/512 GB SSD – HKD 11,999 (~$1,530)
