The Honor X6b Plus is a new smartphone that’s clearly not a high-end device, but it does come with a 90Hz display. The Chinese company also advertises that the display is readable in direct sunlight, although that’s more of a marketing claim.

Honor has launched a new smartphone, the X6b Plus. It has no specifics on its European release as the device may never be released beyond China. This is a lower-end smartphone although it contains the Plus in the name. It has a weight of 6.77 oz, almost 0.33 inches thick, and it has the MediaTek Helio G85, which is a rather weak processor in performance and connectivity.
Although this inexpensive Honor smartphone may use two SIM cards, the cellular modem that is incorporated into the chipset lacks 5G which is a significant drawback in 2025. The 6.56-inch screen is also not that high with a resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels. Nonetheless, the TFT panel does have a 90Hz refresh rate, and a maximum brightness of 780 nits. As comparison, most modern AMOLED displays can offer above 1000 nits. The time and some other information can be in view at all times thanks to an always-on feature.
Despite the fact that the Honor X6b Plus is not a rugged phone, it must have at least a little bit of protection against drops including an SGS certificate, which ought to allow it to withstand severe damages at some altitudes. The handset also has a 50MP main camera with the front camera only having 5MP. Additionally, the 5100mAh battery is not that large and cannot be only charged in a very short period of time, despite the fact that the maximum charging speed of 35 watts is quite impressive.
Other extras are the fingerprint sensor, gyroscopes, compass, and an ambient light sensor. Other than USB Type-C, it also has a conventional headphone jack of 3.5mm. The Honor X6b Plus is supplied with a screen protector and a case according to the model variant. Finally, the box also contains a charger and USB cable.
