The official launch schedule of the Magic 8 series has been confirmed. Although the information is still indistinct, the company provided a window to wait the flagship lineup. And there are high chances that the new models will conflict with Mate 80 series.

The Group Chief Marketing Officer, Guo Rui, the President of Honor Brand Marketing, announced today that the timeline of Magic 8 series launch is Q4.
The Magic 8 smartphones (standard and Pro) are expected to be available to the consumers in the fourth quarter of this year. Depending on the past leaks, it might be released in the middle of or end of November, likely even before the official release of the Huawei Mate 80 series.
The firm is apparently attempting to repeat the execution frame of the last year smartphones in the new smartphones. As a point of reference, Magic 7 series was launched on October 30 th.
In the meantime, the Magic 7 RSR Porsche Design was released in December 2024, and it competes with Mate 70 Pro+ camera capabilities. Apparently, Honor has the same plans with the Magic phones in the current year.
Guo Rui’s post on Weibo reads:
“Since the beginning of this year, the momentum of Honor has been fierce overseas, thanks to the support of consumers at home and abroad. Also, the domestic market is to be expected, forthcoming #GloryMagic8# The AI native phone will be the most beautiful Q4 flagship. Stay tuned.”
Honor didn’t reveal the exact timeline for the Magic 8 series launch. But it has already shed light on some new upgrades of the top-tier models. The company aims to unveil the new handsets as a native AI phone, helping users at every moment.
The Magic 8 lineup has several competitors in the market: the iPhone 17 series, Xiaomi 17 series, and the upcoming Mate 80 models. How the OEM will make its creation the best among these opponents would be worth looking forward to.
