The Honor Magic8 Pro made its European debut in the UK and is expected to be joined by a pared-back variant, the Magic8 Lite. Whilst not yet officially confirmed, an EU release appears to be on the horizon.

Honor Magic8 Pro and Magic8 Lite have officially arrived in Europe, to be more precise, in the UK. This, however, cannot be regarded as a launch in the EU as the country no longer belongs to the union. The Magic8 Pro and Lite are sold at approximately: in the UK, magic8 Pro and Lite are sold at approximately: 1270 (US 1482) and 460 (US537) respectively. This seems to be corroborated by the news in December about the prices of Magic8 Pro in Bulgaria, which should be implemented throughout the EU. It will preorder the device at a price of allegedly at the price of cheapest retail of €1,099 (US$1,283), and retail at an expensive price of 1299 (US 1516). MediaMarkt, a German electronics retailer, has already put the Honor Magic8 Pro down for sale at the price of €1,299 (US$1,516). Whether this increased list price will be at last equated with the street price is yet to be seen. There has not been an official EU release date. However, hints that Honor gives indicate that preorders might start on 15 January.
Honor has also unveiled the specifications of the European variant of the Magic8 Pro and Magic8 Lite, and thus, revealed that the European Pro model must be content with a smaller 6,270 mAh battery as opposed to the 7,200 mAh battery in the Chinese variant. The thinner and lighter Honor Magic8 Lite has significantly less-end specifications, although it has a bigger 7,500 mAh battery. As an example, it has a Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, opposed to Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Its camera has also been brought down substantially, losing the 200 MP tele-photograph lens that has 3.7x zoom and optical image stabilisation. The Honor Magic8 Lite is already available in the media markt website with the Pro version. Nevertheless, the possible negative factors do not necessarily make the Magic8 Pro inappropriate to be imported by shopping platforms such as TradingShenzhen due to a reduced price and increased battery size.
