Honor Magic 8 Pro launches in Germany with a sharper display and bigger battery than Magic 7 Pro

The Honor Magic 8 Pro has landed in Europe, starting with Germany. The flagship brings several upgrades over its predecessor, such as a sharper but smaller screen, a bigger battery, and a better build.

Honor has also introduced the Magic 8 Pro in Germany after launching one in the UK earlier this month. Android phone comes with flagship chipset, high end cameras and high quality of the build.

The Honor Magic 8 Pro includes a 6.71-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 1256 x 2808 resolution, with the maximum brightness of 6,000 nits. It also comes with Dolby Vision, HDR Vivid and Honor EyeComfort Display technology that introduces 4320Hz PWM-dimming, dynamic dimming and AI defocus.

The Honor Magic 8 Pro is also equipped with only one RAM and storage option, 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, as compared to China, which has a RAM of 16GB and a storage of 256GB and 1TB.

In the case of its cameras, the phone has three rear cameras that comprise of a 50MP f/1.6 Ultra Night primary camera and a 200MP f/2.6 telephoto camera with 3.7x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom. The CIPA 5.5 stabilization is on both the main and ultrawide cameras. It also has a 50MP f/ 2.0 ultrawide-angle camera. The Magic 8 Pro has a 50MP camera, and a face unlock depth-sensing camera on the front side.

Not surprisingly, the Magic 8 Pro will have the Honor AiMage technology like Magic Color which examines an image of any origin and then proceeds to produce a distinct color-tone based on the image which a user can easily add to subsequent photographs.

The Honor Magic 8 Pro has a 6270mAh silicon-carbon battery that is compatible with fast wired and 80W wireless charging. Honor claims to have 3 Honor E2 power management chips which assist in flywheel optimization and thermal regulation to ensure long-term battery life.

Other features of the phone include an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, a dedicated AI button, Bluetooth 6.0, Wi-Fi 7, NFC, and dual SIM (eSIM support). Honor further claims that the phone has SGS certified 10x drop protection and triple IP68, IP69, and IP69K dust and water resistance.

The Magic 8 Pro is priced at €1,299.90 and comes in Black, Sunrise Gold, and Sky Cyan with MagicOS 10 that is based on Android 16 and is currently available to purchase in Germany.
