Google postpones Pixel Superfans event for rumoured Pixel 10 series sneak peak after revealing teaser

Google gave fans a hint that new Pixel products were coming by setting up an event with its Superfans. Although the timing of the event led to speculation that the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro and other new Pixels might be coming sooner than expected, Google has now delayed the said event ‘because of unexpected circumstances’.

Pixel 10 series

It is still expected that the Pixel 10 series will be some time before it is launched. Although nothing is officially confirmed by Google yet, different sources hinted at the idea that Google is going to replace the Pixel 9 (curr. $599 on Amazon) on August 20 together with its more expensive colleagues.

But we did hear that Google was supposedly compelled to push the release of the Pixel 10 series by a week after it was initially leaked that an August 13 release was in the cards. However, in the meantime, Google had hinted at a new Pixel Superfans event.

It seems that now Google has delayed this event as well. As Android Authority now reports, the company has sent the following message to Pixel Superfans that were invited to its event in June:

“While we’re no longer able to extend invitations to the Pixel Penthouse event due to unforeseen circumstances, we’re excited to offer you an exclusive alternative prize: an early invitation to our next event, Pixel Superfans Insider Event, on September 4th.”

Currently, Google is rumoured to have developed not just the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro, but also the Pixel 10 Pro XL and a new foldable. It looks like fourth-generation Pixel Watch smartwatches could also be in attendance in two sizes again. There have been no suggestions that a new Pixel Tablet is on the cards at this stage.
