Google just unveiled its latest flagship smartphones — the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL — set to hit store shelves on August 28, 2025. This major refresh elevates the Pixel lineup with cutting-edge hardware, deep AI integration, and the long-awaited adoption of Qi2 magnetic wireless charging.

Under the Hood What is New
All the models are powered by the new Tensor G5 chip manufactured by TSMC that is powered by Google. It has a 34% faster CPU and a staggering 60% more AI processing than its predecessor. These phones are running Android 16 and feature an improved user interface with Material 3 Expressive UI and will receive up to seven years of software and security updates.
Cameras, Displays and Performance Highlights
The standard Pixel 10 has a 6.3-inch OLED screen and now has a 3,000-nit display. The major new feature is a 10.8 MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, the first of its kind on a non-Pro Pixel device.
The Pro models push it further with brighter Super Actua LTPO OLEDs (up to 3,300 nits), 16GB of RAM and impressive camera systems. The Pixel Pro 10 XL can record video in 8k, 100x Pro Res zoom level, and has a bigger 6.8-inch screen and a 5,200 mAh battery.

Game-Changing Qi2 Magnetic Wireless Charging
This is the first generation Google has fully embraced Qi2 magnetic wireless charging and their accessory system is called Pixelsnap. Pixelsnap is designed to securely hold your Pixel in place to allow charging reliably, and comes with a puck-style charger, a stand, a ring stand and special cases.
All the models possess Qi2 at 15W charging, but only the Pixel 10 Pro XL goes to the edge with its 25W Qi2.2 charging thanks to its bigger vapor chamber and heating management system.
AI Features: From Magic Cue to Real-Time Translation
AI powers features like Magic Cue, which intelligently suggests content during messages or calls, and the Camera Coach guides you on framing and composition. There’s also built-in AI translation with natural voices and a Pixel Journal app driven by generative AI — all designed to make your Pixel feel proactive and personal. Android Central calls this new line the most AI-first phone yet.
What is Lost: Goodbye Battery Share
One of the omissions is reverse wireless charging, known as Battery Share. The practical limit noted by Google on the magnetic array of Qi2 is cited as behind Qi2 Although a little bit of a disappointment, the move enabled them to optimize temperature and battery life span- a sacrifice to the increased durability and supportability.

Launch Details and Pricing
Preorders began immediately, with the Pixel 10 starting at $799, the Pixel 10 Pro at $999, and the Pixel 10 Pro XL at $1,199. The folding Pixel 10 Pro Fold will follow later, launching on October 9 with dual 6.4” and 8” displays and the same magnetic charging support
Bottom Line
Google’s Pixel 10 series delivers on two key fronts: powerful on-device AI and seamless wireless charging with Qi2. With improved camera systems, brighter displays, smarter software, and bold new features like Pixelsnap, this lineup sets a new standard for Android flagships. If you’re looking for a phone that feels smarter and more future-ready, the Pixel 10 family deserves your attention.
