Samsung has reportedly pulled the latest One UI 8 update for Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra users. The rollout began just a few days ago but it looks like the company has discovered a bug or stability issues.

Last week, Samsung began releasing the last Android based update to Galaxy S22 line-up with one UI 8 on the Android 16. It was offered to people in Europe and India, and it came with stability changes, renewed applications, and the newest security update. But it appears that the company has now stalled and the rollout is frozen as mentioned by one of the users on X.
In the post made by @Koram_Akhilesh, it is revealed that the most recent build of One UI 8 is not offered on the Galaxy S22 series anymore. This implies that Samsung found out that there was a bug or certain instability aspect that made them recall the update. The company has remained silent on the same but some user complaints have been recorded of high rate of battery depletion following the update but not alarming.
It is not unusual to see companies withdraw updates soon after the release and they tend to resume soon. It would be hoped that Samsung would do the same to the Galaxy S22 series users, otherwise provide an update on the status. In case you have not upgraded at the very beginning, it might have been a blessing in disguise and it will also be time to resume rollout in the nearest future. Upgraders should also be able to use the phone normally without necessarily going back to the older version in order to do the upgrade.
Concerning the update itself, One UI 8 includes the necessary changes that are necessary to the users of Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. It, however, does not have part of the AI-driven features such as Now Brief. It does include updates to the multitasking, reminders, the camera application, notifications, and many others.
