It is going to be a year of significant change at OnePlus – a few months back, we had heard that the company will overhaul the design of its next flagship which is being referred to as the OnePlus 15. We have the first glimpse of the new design now, thanks to one of Weibo posters.

The circular camera island which was a significant element of the luxurious OnePlus models is gone. There is a square with rounded off corners now, painted in black, which carries three cameras, two and one each.
The flip side is not visible, but it will be supposedly the same 6.78 in 1.5K in size with a faster rate of 165Hz. Incidentally, we were told that the phone will have three colors, namely, the Dune, Absolute Black and Mist Purple.
Dune, which should be on the right, would be the hero color, the color that is prevalent in most of the marketing. Absolute black (left) will also be intriguing since it will be the blackest black paint on a smartphone- therefore, we expect that the picture will not depict it justice. At last there comes the Mist Purple in the middle.
OnePlus 15 (the company does not intend to release anything with the number four in it, as it has always been done before) will be announced shortly, presumably in October, and it will be accompanied by the Ace 6. The flagship will run the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and will have an in-house image engine following the termination of a partnership between Oneplus and Hasselblad. It must have 120W cable and 50W wireless as its 7,000mAh battery.
