Asus has launched a new gaming headset called the ROG Kithara gaming headset, which is supposedly designed for people with high expectations in terms of audio quality. Audio sources can be connected to the device in several ways, and a microphone is built-in.

ROG Kithara is currently available on Amazon at $299 with 100-mm Hifiman planar-magnetic drivers, and the company strives to achieve outstanding levels of audio quality with this product. Asus boasts of the headset having a frequency range of 8 0 -55 000 Hz and presents a pure separation of bass, mid-range, and treble to improve spatial perception. Since it is an open-back design, active noise cancellation is not viable; active noise cancellation will not stop external sounds that will be heard.
The headset also has a boom microphone which uses MEMS technology and picks up the frequency of 20 -1 to 20 -1 frequencies. To be connected, it has two 3.5 mm plugs, which has expanded device compatibility. It is shipped with a balanced 4.4 -mm plug, 3.5 -mm, 6.3 -mm single-ended plug, and USB-Type-C adapter.
The headband is adjustable and the fit can be customized by users with replaceable earpad cushions. Metal frame and metal hinges seek to enhance durability. The Asus mentions a signal-to-noise ratio of 74-dB, which is a definite distinction between the noise floor and the audio signal. The headset is only slightly less than 15oz. It does not have a folding option and is delivered without a carrying case, but it does have additional earpads.
