Asus has introduced one of its lightest 14-inch laptops, the Zenbook S14, now available in the UK. A global release is expected soon. This new model features Intel’s Panther Lake architecture and boasts a larger battery compared to last year’s version. However, it may deliver slightly weaker graphics performance than its predecessor.

The Panther Lake-powered Zenbook S14 follows the Lunar Lake variants announced in September 2024 (priced at $1,399 on Amazon). Asus unveiled the Panther Lake successors at CES 2026 in January.
Initially, Asus suggested that Europe would receive Core Ultra X Series 3 variants, similar to the US models. However, the UK version aligns more closely with Canadian SKUs, offering non-X variants instead. Specifically, the Zenbook S14 in the UK is equipped with the Core Ultra 9 386H, rather than the higher-performing Core Ultra X7 368H or Core Ultra X9 388H.
The laptop is priced at £1,599 (approximately $1,799 before the UK’s 20% VAT). It comes with 32 GB of RAM, 1 TB of storage, and is available in a single grey color. The 14-inch display remains a standout feature, offering a 2.8K resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and OLED technology. Brightness peaks at 500 nits in SDR mode and up to 1,100 nits in HDR mode for small highlights.
Battery capacity has increased by 6.9%, from 72 Wh to 77 Wh, ensuring the Zenbook S14 continues to deliver excellent battery life. However, the switch to the Core Ultra 9 386H, instead of the X variants, may result in slightly reduced graphics performance compared to the Arc 140V-based models from the previous generation.
