Apple launch event on September 9: What products are expected alongside the iPhone 17 Pro

The next Apple launch event will be on Tuesday, September 9. Now Bloomberg has released a preview of the new products to expect, offering certain new information about the next generation of iPhone and Apple Watch. Apple will, first and foremost, launch the iPhone 17 and the 5.5-millimeter-thin iPhone 17 Air, which will apparently have an Apple A19 ARM chip and a 120 Hz ProMotion display, which is a massive improvement over the 60 Hz display of the iPhone 16.

Besides the updated design with a significantly bigger camera module and more powerful Apple A19 Pro with a more robust cooling system, the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro max will also get a camera upgrade. Bloomberg specifically talks of a new 48 Megapixel telephoto camera and a variable aperture camera, but this will probably be limited to the main camera. This upgrade to the selfie camera is likely to be the largest in the history of iPhones; rumors about the iPhone 17 Pro have mentioned a 24 MP sensor. Video quality and battery life are also going to be much better.

It is believed that in the upcoming Apple launch event, Apple will launch various other accessories to the iPhone 17 like TechWove iPhone 17 Airline protective cases, iPhone 17 bumper, and iPhone 17 crossbody straps. iPhone 17 Air will be light blue in color and iPhone 17 Pro will be in orange and dark blue. Each model, with the exception of the lowest priced iPhone 17, will have 12 GB of RAM and no less than 256 GB of storage, but some models will likely cost more.

Apple Watch Ultra 3 is purportedly set to have satellite connectivity.

Along with the iPhone 17 line, Apple is also likely to release a variety of new Apple Watches, with the cheaper Apple Watch SE featuring a slightly bigger screen and faster processor. It is unlikely that the Apple Watch Ultra 3 or Apple Watch Series 11 will get a new processor, though, according to Bloomberg, customers can expect a 5G option and satellite connectivity on the Ultra model along with a slightly brighter display and new case colors on the Apple Watch Series 11.

It could be possible that high blood pressure could be detected by the next generation Apple Watch. Finally, Apple will likely release the AirPods Pro 3 at this Apple launch event, which is reported to have a much smaller charging case and heart rate and skin temperature sensors.
