Amazfit has unveiled the T-Rex Ultra 2 with an 870 mAh battery (+74%), Grade-5 Titanium build, and 3,000-nit sapphire display. The flagship gets 64 GB of storage for topo maps and an integrated 300-lux LED flashlight.

Amazfit has officially announced the T-Rex Ultra 2 following recent leaks. It is the flagship product in its outdoor rugged smartwatch range of products. The main improvement is a 74% battery capacity increase, with the battery capacity increased in the original T-Rex Ultra with 500mAh to a high density cell with 870mAh capacity. The weight of the device has increased slightly, nearly by 0.2g compared to its predecessor even with this power boost, now being 89.2 g. This is a lightweight construction by using Grade-5 titanium in the case back, bezel and hardware buttons instead of the 316L stainless steel in the 2023 version.
The 1.5-inch AMOLED display has been added to visual performance, being sponsored by sapphire glass and capable of producing a maximum brightness of 3,000 nits. It is 300 percent more than the 1,000-nit maximum of the last generation, and is expected to bring much better clarity in high-altitude or direct-glare conditions.

Inside, the storage capacity has been increased up to 64GB compared to 4GB storing pre-installed topographical offline topography maps which distinguishes between paved and unpaved routes. Although the original Ultra that the user had to manually import OSM map files, the Ultra 2 offers native turn-by-turn navigation through six simultaneous satellite systems.
Hardware has also been improved with an in-built dual mode LED flash light providing either 200 or 300-lux output, and SOS mode. This substitutes the light systems of the past version based on a screen. In the case of the European markets, the gadget can now support NFC payments. The watch has kept the extreme-environment credentials and is capable of working in temperatures down to -30 C with still having a 10 ATM water resistance rating which is good enough to withstand freediving and other high-speed water sports.
T-Rex Ultra 2 costs the EU market more, priced at the Euro 549,90, and the US market at $549.90. Printed here is more about the US launch of the smart watch.
