The Pova 3 is a midrange phone from Tecno that has a large battery and several features geared toward gamers. The phone’s Helio G88 processor provides both memory options, with extendable RAM. It is currently available for purchase on Amazon with a starting bid of N55,000 (INR 11,499).
The Pova 3’s front panel is a 6.9″ LCD with Full HD+ resolution and, in some cases, a 90 Hz refresh rate. A single punch hole for an 8 MP selfie camera is included. For better photos in low light, there is also a small dual-LED flash in the top bezel.
The 50 MP main camera is one of three on the rear, although Tecno has not revealed the identity of the other two shooters. At least the quad-LED flash next to the cameras is visible.
Although technically accurate, the Transsion brand refers to the Pova 3 as “India’s first 7,000 mAh phone with a 33W fast charger,” which does sound quite selective. The Galaxy M51 was the first phone in the country with such capacity back in August 2020, while the Huawei Mate 20 Pro launched such fast-charging rates even earlier—October 2018.
Tecno used Graphene Film Cooling, a hair-thin coating of graphite, for improved cooling, and thankfully, the phone enables reverse charging at 10W. Amazon states that the HiOS 8.6 user interface for the Pova 3 is based on Android 12.
Tecno Pova 3 is available in three hues-Black, Blue, and Silver. The 4/64 GB version costs about N55,000 INR11,499 ($145), but there is a more powerful variation available for about N70,000, (INR12,999) ($165).
