The Redmi Note 12 series is expected to launch in April or May, with a MediaTek high-performance processor, according to tipster Digital Chat Station’s post on Weibo today.
While the tipster is unsure whether the display is LCD or OLED, they did see a center-aligned punch-hole for the selfie camera.

The Redmi Note series will be refreshed every six months, replacing the yearly cycle, according to Lu Weibing, president of Xiaomi Group China and general manager of the Redmi brand. It will place a special emphasis on performance in phones released under it.
Some Weibo users theorised beneath the same post that the high-performance MediaTek CPU in question would be either the Dimensity 8000 or the Dimensity 1300, which, while simply speculation at this time, has some merit. Both are powerful and “high-performance” chips, however they aren’t as quick as the flagship Dimensity 9000 chip.
Apart than that, little is known about the Redmi Note 12 series at the moment, but we should start seeing more details emerge ahead of their arrival in the second quarter of this year.
The Redmi Note 11 Pro+ supported 120W fast charging, while the Redmi Note 11 Pro supported 67W, thus we should expect the Redmi Note 12 series to follow suit.
