OnePlus released an update to OxygenOS 13 based on Android 13 for its latest flagship smartphone, the 10 Pro, in September (before you ask, the 10T is a side-grade, not a direct successor to the 10 Pro).
Today, the Chinese company decided to release the OxygenOS 13 update for the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro, which were released last year. The 5GB update was initially seeded to those who participated in the Open Beta program, which began a few weeks ago.
People who haven’t been on the Open Beta are also reporting receiving the update, implying a slightly wider rollout. However, keep in mind that these rollouts are typically done in stages, so even if a large number of people have already received the update notification, it may take a few days (or more) before it reaches all devices out there in the wild.
The update includes everything that Google included in Android 13, as well as OnePlus’ new Aquamorphic design language, HyperBoost GPA 4.0, Quantum Animation Engine 4.0, an automatic pixelation feature for sensitive information found in chat screenshots, and much more.
