Nokia recently announced that it has finished the transition to Android 12 and that any smartphones still without the operating system would no longer receive it. The smartphones that would receive Android 13 first were confirmed after the announcement.
Five devices are on the list: the Nokia X10 and X20, Nokia XR20, Nokia G50, and Nokia G11 Plus, all of which are on the more affordable end of the price spectrum.
The three new smartphones—the C31, G60 5G, and X30 5G—that were unveiled at IFA 2022 in Berlin back in September aren’t included on the list, but that’s just because the latter two aren’t yet available in China. Android 13 is undoubtedly coming, as the business has previously revealed its update intentions.
The remaining five Nokia phones were confirmed to be compliant with today’s list of Android Enterprise Recommended specifications. These specifications are focused on business and include things like bulk deployment with zero-touch enrollment, quick Android security updates (within 90 days of Google’s release), physical availability of enough units, and “consistent application experience.”
